SUDDEN DEATH Part two


Pastor Donald Elwood was all excited, the congregation selected him as the lead pastor to replace their Senior Pastor Rick Bowels. Pastor Rick had recently retired after 45 years’ service to the community and his Father God. Donald knew he’d miss teaching the young adults at the mission, but he looked forward to the bigger plans God had for him. Donald never saw the fallen tree on the road. The paramedics declared Him dead on the scene. Donald woke up after a mysterious journey to find himself looking face to face with his Father God.



What if we had suddenly died that day as pastor Donald Elwood did? Wouldn’t we be overwhelmed with joy in our hearts knowing we knew our Father God close enough for His judgment to favor our spiritual beings, living for all eternity with him up in Heaven? We know that we did all the right things because we lived our lives under our Lord’s guidance. So, when the opportunities came for us to do good things to help folks anyway, we could have stepped up to the plate and served God by helping them. See; Galatians 6 : 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith….We trusted in our Father God to provide us the things we needed as we lived our lives serving Him, and He honored His promise to do so. See> (Matthew 6:31-32) Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all… We knew there was no other man than our Lord Jesus that was able to forgive us and offer us salvation through Him, so we repented and asked Jesus to forgive us. See> (Acts 4:12) 12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. We knew, with Jesus Christ we were able live our lives as righteous as possible. So, there we are face to face with our Father God. Our hearts had no fear of being condemned to Hell because Jesus told us those who believe will have eternal life, for they have accepted His son Jesus Christ rather than reject Him. We heard the word of God and we believed God’s word and believed in Him, therefore our spiritual beings “who we are” will pass from death to everlasting life amen. See> (John 5:24) 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.



My final thoughts
Sudden death is something none of us have control of. But we can control what happens to our Spiritual beings after we die. Our Spiritual being is who we are, it’s how we lived. It’s everything about us therefore the only way to assure ourselves we’ll enjoy our life ever after with our Father God is by honoring His will for us, while we are living on earth. This is hard for many of us to achieve, and that’s why most of us won’t make it through Heavens gates. God gave us our free will so that if we chose to believe in Him and His Son Jesus, we would surely get there. All we need to do is ask Jesus to forgive us as we accept Him into our lives as our Lord and Savior. Then strive hard at living righteous lifestyles and to be dedicated serving God any way we can. God has a plan and a way for all our Spiritual beings to make it to Heaven. He does not want us to spend eternity in Hell. But we need to live our lives in accordance to our Father God’s will to get there. I know I want to go to Heaven, and I strive hard to get there every day. That’s all that I can do, and that’s all any of us can do. Amen.



Let us all pray together
Dear Lord, we come to you this morning with the assurance we’ll have everlasting life because we love you and we strive hard to live our lives for you, thus honoring our Father God’s will. Right now, we pray for the unsaved, we pray for them to find it in their hearts the desire to know the true facts of life ever after. For them to desire your love and God’s grace so they learn that God is real. And right now Lord, we offer ourselves to help lead someone lost to you Lord. Just show them, guide them to us Lord, so that through you we may lead them to their Father God. In your name Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior we all do pray, amen.
