LUCY DIDN’T KNOW

How is it even possible Lucy did not know who Jesus was? That question was quietly gossiped among the few congregation members that came to their Pastor's youngest daughter's funeral. One would think folks would respect the way things were. We need to realize just because someone is the son or daughter of a pastor, does not mean they as individuals were children of God, “saved.” No matter who we are, as Christian parents we need to be sure our children know Jesus Christ is God’s Son. It is the parents' responsibility to help their children develop a personal relationship with their Lord and Savior. See> (Proverbs 22:6) 6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. … The younger our children are when they meet Jesus the better. This way when they go through trials and troubles as they grow, they will know to put faith and trust in their Lord and Savior. As parents we pray our children will choose to live righteously as we have set an example for them.

My final thoughts
Folks, it's a fact that our children at one point or another will make a "BIG boo-boo. " Just remember it's how we act and discipline our children that will play a major part in their decisions in life. Especially the big one being ; will they know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? This morning's inspiration was originally written on 11:10/2018 and re-wrote for this morning by my Father God’s inspiration. I pray it reaches who God has intended it to.

Let us pray
Dear Lord, we pray for all the children in the world to be taught about Their Father God’s love for them, and their parents help them learn, even if they themselves are not active in their faith with you Lord. Every child needs to grow up knowing there is a Mighty God up in Heaven, and we promise to do our part in helping those you bring to us Lord. In your name Jesus Christ we pray amen.

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's guidance. Rev James Erick
