OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

(Isaiah 43:18) 18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

An old pastor friend of mine who gave his retirement message caught the entire congregation's attention when he revealed to them his trade secret was that he’d always looked forward to what God needed him to accomplish rather than dwelling over his past accomplishments. In other words, do not dwell over your past accomplishments, but dwell on what God needs us to accomplish for Him and His people today. See> (Philippians 3:13-14) 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

My Final thoughts
I am not suggesting that we do not celebrate our previous accomplishments. We should always thank our Father God for our past accomplishments. In some cases, we can use them to prepare and help us to achieve the next set of accomplishments our Father God has planned for us. When we do this together with our Lord Jesus Christ, we can always look forward to better accomplishments, for they are yet to come, amen.

Let us pray
Dear Lord, it is good to know that with you we can always look forward to achieving bigger and better accomplishments that our Father in Heaven needs for us to achieve. Therefore Lord, we ask for your continued guidance and help in understanding what our Father God needs us to accomplish tomorrow. In your name Lord, we all pray amen.

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's guidance. Rev James Erick
