WHERE YOU GOING?

Some time ago, one of my longtime friends named DevIn Brown suddenly died. My first concern was whether He had listened to all my preaching over the years. Last I spoke with him he seemed more interested in knowing who Jesus is than I had ever known him to be. I believe this because Devin Brown was an outspoken man, and he had never told me whether or not he received Christ as his Lord and Savior. I am not sure he ever did, I can only pray he did. Our Father God tells us that through His glory and grace He has accepted us. Therefore, we can seek redemption once we repent of our wrong doings and seek His forgiveness. See (Ephesians 1:6-7) 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ... Devin’s death reminded me that none of God’s People are guaranteed to catch our next breath. There is simply no way of knowing when death will take us to those pearly gates. We are here now and could be gone in a moment's notice. When death comes you need to be ready. You need to know ‘where your eternal soul is going’. Will it be Heaven or Hell? What if I were to ask today if you would be ready to meet our Creator, Our Father God. Would you be uncertain? Do you feel there could be a chance you will go down to the pits of Hell? If you feel that way, then God has good news this morning for those who want to be ready. It is only too late to receive our Lord’s forgiveness of our sins after we die. God’s word assures His people if we confess our sins to Jesus Christ, He will be faithful to His word and forgive us. Thus, cleanse us from all unrighteousness. See (1 John 1:9) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. …

My final thoughts
Jesus Christ is the one and only way our Father God has provided His people to be forgiven. God’s love, mercy, and grace will no longer remember their unrighteousness and their sins after His Son Jesus Christ forgives their sins. See (Hebrews 8:12) 12 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. ... Therefore, if any one of God’s people remains uncertain about where their soul will go once they die, please do not wait one more minute. I ask you to take this opportunity to ask Jesus Christ into your life to be your Lord and Savior. All you need to do is wholeheartedly believe through faith that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, who the Father sent down to earth to be the Savior of men's souls. Then confess your sins to Jesus seeking His forgiveness, and ask Him for a new life with Him and his Father God. Then Jesus will be able, and will forgive God’s people's sins. Only then will anyone of God’s people’s souls receive their salvation. See (Romans 6:23)23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. … There is no other way for a person to be forgiven and become a child of God, so do not wait any longer. Consider accepting Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior ‘TODAY,’ if you have not already done so. After all, just like my lifelong friend Mr. Devin Brown we could suddenly die. Please do not wait until it is too late to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. This would mean when you come under the judgment of our Father God almighty, you will deal with His wrath.

Let us all pray
Lord, this morning we come before you with our hearts, minds, and souls totally committed to living our new lives for you Lord. We ask you to lead God’s lost people to us. Then with the power of our Father God and with your assistance, direction, and guidance Lord, we can help them find their way back to their Father God. In your name Lord Jesus Christ we all do pray. Amen.

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's Guidance. Rev James Erick
