WHO IS YOUR COMFORTER?

Out of nowhere in the parking lot after a church service, a strange woman approached Pastor Foard along with her teenage daughter asking him to pray over her. From their appearance Pastor Foard knew they were having a serious communication breakdown. Pastor Foard said he would pray then asked what was wrong. ‘It’s her mind pastor, please pray over my daughter’s mind. Between her new job and raising four children, her mind is overwhelmed from stress. She seeks the Lord's comfort, and we have just moved into the area. We prayed because we did not know where to go. Then God leads us here to His house, so, please sir, will you pray for the comfort of our Lord to ease my daughter's mind?’ Our Father God's word told us to seek COMFORT with Him. See> (John 14:25-27)25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

My final thoughts
Many members of the congregation had begun to gather around praying in the Spirit, unaware of what troubled the young girl. Yet through faith they knew that their Father God was aware what the girl’s troubles were. See> (Matthew 6:8) 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. … The woman's daughter later left the parking lot in sound mind, praising and thanking God for keeping His promise to them. Being, that though our faith in Him, we shall have what we need and receive whatever we ask of Him. See> (Matthew 21:22) 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. ... as was the case in this testimony, amen.

Let us pray together
Lord, we come to you this morning knowing you are the one who gives those who believe in you the remedy to whatever ails us. We know that through our faith, you can help us and others when they ask for prayer from us. So, we thank you Lord for always looking out for us and answering our prayers. Lord, in your name Jesus Christ we all pray. Amen.

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's Guidance. Rev James Erick
