LONG AWAITED LOVE
Everything Anthony did and lived for was to better himself so he would be able to help others. When something came about Anthony did not understand, he studied it until he understood it. Because Anthony is always willing to help someone, his reputation around town was the guy to go to. Anthony started feeling ill one morning and was later diagnosed with terminal cancer. Anthony refused to accept his fate, so he studied endlessly for several years but never found a cure. Now for the first time in his life at age thirty-four, Anthony found himself forced to face the fact that he can’t always help himself. One Sunday morning while driving to St. Josephs for mass, Anthony felt doubtful he'd find a cure and he was ready to accept his fate. When he stopped at a red-light, he overheard a preacher standing on the corner preaching that God can help anyone, God can cure any illnesses if you have faith. Anthony had heard about God’s healing power, but had never given much thought about it. When the light turned Anthony Styles decided to pull into a parking lot close enough to listen to this preacher. “Preacher speaks,” ‘Let me tell you good folks something, Today God heals through his healing ministers, just as he did with Paul after he resurrected his Son Jesus.’ See> (Acts 28:8-9) 8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. 9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
My final thoughts.
God’s word instructs those of us who are sick to go to a church, go in faith requesting the elders to pray over us in our Lord’s name. That we pray in faith knowing our Lord will make the sickness leave our bodies. See > James 5:14-15)14 If one of you is sick, he should call the church’s elders. The elders should pour oil on him in the name of the Lord and pray for him. 15 And the prayer that is said with faith will make the sick person well. The Lord will heal him. And if he has sinned, God will forgive him. Mr. Anthony Styles felt an urge of hope through Jesus, so he questioned the preacher after the gathering was over. Anthony told the preacher his story and that he wanted to give Jesus a chance, that he was sorry he never thought much about God before. Then he asked the preacher if it was too late for him because now, he did believe in God? The preacher told him, ‘It is never too late to love God.' Then after a little further talk, Anthony gave his life to God that morning, and together Anthony and the preacher prayed for his terminal cancer to be healed. Fifteen years later Anthony’s cancer has not yet been cured but miraculously nor has it progressed. Be blessed this morning knowing our Father God in Heaven does not always answer our prayers as we see fit. But he does answer them in accordance with his will See> (1 John 5:14)14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
Our Morning Prayer
Father God, we thank you for your love and that it's never too late for your people to love you and be loved by you. We pray for many souls to find their way to you Father. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray amen.
May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's guidance.
