BILLY AND TOM
Billy worked hard all his life, but saved very little after family and life expenses. He never liked having to punch a clock, but was taught hard work and loving God would provide everything his family would need. And as Billy's life crept by, he indeed found that God did indeed keep His word.
Sometimes Billy envied his neighbor Tom who never left his house, and always had a lot of friends and investors coming and going around the clock. Tom always had nice cars, a mobile home and his children and wife were never in need Yep, Tom provided everything for his family, but Tom never saved a dime.
Life continues for both of them, their wives passed away and the children were raising their children and hopefully making smart decisions.
Billy Retired, his home is paid for and with the little money he saved and his retirement check, was able to live comfortably after paying his bills phone. electric, and food. And even for a few odds and ends.'Billy didn't envy Tom anymore as he watched his neighbor Tom's life's dreams come to end. He prayed thanking God for teaching him to work hard and never desire more than he needs.
Tom was no longer having company so what ever he was hustling failed to gain wealth..Tom's house wasn't paid along with a few other payments that weren't settled. Creditors and dealers came to collect all he had. Tom never worked, and lived on as a hustler, spending everything on family and luxury and ended up losing all he had gained.
My final thoughts
Not working and taking the easy way, hustling will gain you wealth that will only dwindle away, because it was not God's plan for you.
We learned from the way Tom handled his affairs you can end up with nothing in the end. However, if one works hard and is obedient to God's word the way Billy lived his life , his coin will slowly gain in value and will sustain your needs when you're old and cannot work. God's word tells us in. See>(Prov 13:11) 11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.
Prayer
Please help us keep our priorities focused on doing right by You Lord, as we strive to live our lives glorifying Your Father God. Lord, You know better than we do that we cannot survive in this life living our lives without You. Let us be grateful with what You have provided for us, and not desire what Satan offers us. In your name Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
