God’s News For Today ~ Thursday June 13th 2019 Studied in the King James Bible

WHO'S MAKING YOUR DECISIONS?

A statement a lot of folks may hear often is “if I'd only made the right decision, things would have been better. Or things would be okay; it would not have been my fault," etc....

The reason we hear this statement often is because we are humans who are not able to make right decisions all the time. But what if I told you our God has a better plan that I call, God’s ultimate plan that will cut down on us making wrong decisions substantially? Would you believe me if I told you all it takes is for us to seek godly advice? Christians know they're able to accomplish anything through their Lord Jesus Christ Right? Therefore, wouldn’t it be wise for us to seek our Lord's counsel to help us make right decisions? I'm more than sure this is the reason God's word instructs us to acknowledge our Lord in all our ways. See> (Proverbs 3:6) 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

When folks do this, they are allowing Jesus to direct their path, which basically tells us to seek Jesus in our decisions. He'll lead us in the right direction which would mean making right decisions, after going over all these decisions over numerous hours and knowing my Lord Jesus is perfect in every way. I was sure if the final decision, major decision I ever made, was to decide to allow Jesus to start making my decisions, would be a right decision. After all Jesus is perfect, so wouldn't every decision made by Him also be? See> (Proverbs 3:5-6) 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

My final thoughts
When I started trusting our Lord enough to seek His counsel, rather than trust in my own or other people’s advice, is exactly the time that things began unfolding the way I mentioned above.
Today when I reflect on how many wrong decisions I've made in my life when I didn't seek God's council, I'm grateful to be alive. I say this because a lot of those wrong decisions I’ve made should have killed me, but by the grace of God I'm alive and able to share my testimony

Let us all pray together
Dear Lord, we ask for you to help those of us who still don’t include you in making decisions. We now understand why God tells us to trust in You in all things, so we ask for your continued guidance each day and help us grow closer to You. In your name Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
