ONE DAY

Edward asked his wife - 'When will you get to knowing Jesus?'

His wife answered, ‘One day’

A few says passed, when his wife was killed in a car accident.

Edward asked His Lord – 'Lord, does she know who You are?'

Jesus answered. ‘Yes, we were just talking.’

'Praise God He answered, Praise God, I knew she would come to know You.'

Then the Lord said, “Yes my friend, It is good that you praise our Father God for He hears you daily. He hears you praise Him for all the good things as well as the bad. But I have something I must tell you brother Edward. It is true I knew your wife, what’s sad is she never called me Lord or accepted me for who I am, therefore our Father God never knew her.'

Edward began to weep.

Folks, we all put things off until another day, usually it’s for our convenience or our schedule forces us to. I am here this morning to remind y ‘all that some things should never wait until 'one day.'

Our Father God has been patiently waiting for us to know Him. He’s been listening, waiting for our call to Him during all our good times as well as our bad times. Unfortunately, most of us just keep putting God off until one day. So, I ask y ‘all what if that day never came?
Folks if you’re someone who’s been putting off knowing Jesus until one day as Edward’s wife had been doing, I must tell you that day, may never come.

My final thoughts
When I refer to someone knowing Jesus, I’m referring to them having a relationship with Him. God knows His children because His Son Jesus Christ has forgiven them, and sent them to His Father God. Christ tells us we need to know the Savior when we pray. See> (John 17:3) 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
For one to know Jesus they must confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart His Father God raised Him from the dead, only then will we be saved. We must know Jesus, the reason Jesus had to die was to pay for our sin. See> (Romans 10:9) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Let us pray
Lord, we thank you for your sacrifice “so that one day we can go to Heaven” if we confessed our sin. Through faith we believe You are God’s Son Jesus Christ who God rose from the dead to give us eternal life. We ask You to help us lead those who don’t know You not to put You off until, ‘one day.’ In Your names Jesus Christ, we all pray, amen.
