JUNE'S FIRST DAY
It was June's first day in Jr high and already she felt out of place, because she'd never been in school before. And June she was feeling out of place, everyone around her were strangers. She he had to know somebody there she thought as she looked around hopelessly, but June saw no one. This was to be her big day but instead she felt unraveled and a little down. June began to feel the need to talk to the one that would always comfort her and bring her peace. His name was Jesus Christ, her Lord Jesus Christ whenever she felt uncomfortable. See> (Proverbs 18:24) 24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

All summer long June had been excited about going to Jr high school, but today she felt much different. By lunch time some of the other girls were teasing her and making fun of her clothes, and every other thing that cruel children do that made her feel like an outcast. June didn't know what to think or say. She'd never experienced cruelty from other children because she had been home schooled, her only friends were from church, so she knew nothing about making new friends. June got her lunch tray and found a table near the wall where she could eat alone. She sat down and said grace, adding a request for Jesus to help her meet new friends or someone she knew. But when the other children saw her praying, they started mocking her. One of the girls told her there wasn't a God so no one is listening. But June's faith was strong so she continued to pray, knowing in her heart Jesus would come to her rescue once she called out for Him. See> (Psalm 34:17)17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

June hadn't realized that her praying brought more attention on herself, and soon more children to jump in and harass her even more. Then an older girl decided to knock Junes' lunch tray onto the floor as she mocked God's word, asking June what she going to eat now? Then asked her if she was going to pray to Jesus asking Him to bring some fish and a loaf of bread. When June looked at her, she told the girl she might ask Him, it made the older girl angry, so she punched June. Then June got up filled with The Holy Ghost, looked towards the Heaven telling her Lord Jesus that He could help her anytime, but she needed Him now.

Just then from out of nowhere June recognized her best friend Lori's voice from church saying, "leave June alone". Then she heard more familiar voice’s shouting" hey don't you be messing with our friend!” June looked up towards Heaven thanking her Lord, when she saw all five of her older friends from church. She knew her Lord had sent her friends to protect her. That's when June heard and unfamiliar voice telling her “I'll always be watching over you June all you need is to call upon me."{ See> (1 Peter 3:12-13) 12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
My final thoughts

Whenever we feel uncomfortable or threatened. we need to remember to call upon our Lord. And knowing in our heart that if we stick with Jesus Christ, together we're able to conquer anything. That's because the power of The Holy Spirit will always be watching our backs. Amen.
Let us pray

Lord, we thank You once again for watching over us, protecting Your flock as you did for June, because of her faith and trust in You. Lord, we know sometimes we forfeit to seek your help, because we got caught up in the moment. So, when that happens, we ask You to help us remember to call on You. In your name Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
