GOD ALWAYS TALKED TO LEN
His name was Mr. Len Stern who at the golden age of 73 years young was one of the few men in his small town that other people would say had lived a successful life with one success after another. He married a woman named Betsy because their love was real, Len knew in his heart his God willed them to be soulmates. Oh, Did I use the words ‘his God’? Let me explain this to y ‘all. Len’s story begins when he was a young child figuring out what life was and supposed to be. Len was young when his grandpa would read these fascinating stories from the Holy book. As Len listened to his grandpa read, he imagined his grandpa’s voice to be God’s voice talking to him. That is until his grandpa passed away a few weeks after his 12th birthday.
Len’s twelfth year in life was complicated because he couldn’t listen to God’s voice, the same voice that always directed and guided him through his younger years. The same voice that helped him trust in love again after his mom died when he was only five year’s old. Len learned to depend on God’s word but that wasn’t the case anymore. Because for the first time in his young life Len couldn’t depend on his God’s voice because it had become silent.
Then when Len was fourteen years old one of his homework assignments was to read the book of Matthew and write a short book report on it. When Len began to read God’s word, a smile began to form from ear to ear. Len all excited looked up to the heavens shouting thank you God, thank you, for Len was hearing his God’s voice in his thoughts as he read his Father God’s word. Len was filled with the Holy Spirit, and things were back as they use to be. God was able to give him advice he needed to go through tough teen age years. God was with him every place he went, God helped him get his first job and taught him the patients he needed while learning to drive. God’s word helped him succeed in life and become the successful man he is today.
My final thoughts
The only difference between Len’s life and some of us late bloomers was at a very young age Len learned to listen and trust in God’s word. Len trusted his Father God as his teacher and his counselor, and most importantly folk’s. Len learned to trust in God to guide and provide for him, his three children and lovely wife Betsy. And this was all possible because Len was fortunate enough to understand there wasn’t another book on earth that provided him the answers and instructions he needed to know, and which taught him to trust in the words His Father God told him which enabled him to live a Christian lifestyle that was successful and pleased God.
Folk’s this tells us one major thing about how to live a Christian lifestyle, and this one thing is we all need to read God's Word daily. See (2 Tim 3:16-17)16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Let us Pray together
Lord, we come to You once again with grateful hearts. Grateful that You're always standing by our side and helping us understand the words our Father God is telling us in a book. He wrote this for us, with His full intentions of guiding and instructing all His Children as we continue to strive hard every day of our lives. While trying to live lifestyles that are both pleasing you and our father God. In your name, Jesus Christ, our Counselor and our Teacher, amen.
