GET TO STEPPING
This morning’s, daily inspirational we’ll be looking at one of our sure ways to “make the devil get to stepping."
We all wake up sometimes knowing Satan is close by us somehow, he'd snuck in overnight as we slept. This gave Satan an early jump on us. We’ve already noticed things haven’t gone right; 'for example’ perhaps our roommate forgot to brew more coffee for us. Not to mention our new alarm clock didn’t sound so we're a half hour behind our schedule. And with all this going on we've forgotten our morning prayer. Not to mention we should have told Jesus that Satan's hanging around and we need His help.
We take a moment to reflect to a bible lesson we'd taken a few years back. The lesson was about how God's Children can make Satan leave them by calling upon our Father God’s power. Knowing that with the power together we’ll have the strength and power to stop the devil from coming around. See> (Philippians 4:13) 3 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
As Christians we have confidence in that we may ask anything from God, right? See> (John 5:14) 14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he heal.
Since we know God’s listening and knows how in Him, we have strength, and all we need to do is resist Satan which will make him ‘get to stepping.’ Because we are God’s children, we can demand Satan to leave our presence. We can do this because of our trust and faith that the devil must obey a child of God’s command. Now if the devil is stubborn and insists on hanging around after you've demanded him to leave, he knows he'll have to obey because he knows God’s with his Children, and gives them the power of The Holy Spirit do use against him in any way we need to. The devil knows God’s power flows in us, he knows all we need to do is resist him to make him leave us alone. “Folk’s, God does give us the power of command over the devil. All we need to do is resist him and He will “get to stepping.” See> (James 4:7) 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
My final thoughts
We need to remember that praying is a vital part of relying on the power of God, as we pray, See> (Luke 11:2) 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. When we forget to pray Satan's able to grow stronger in someone’s life within minutes if not seconds. Then Satan attacks them, and that's a fact, so, folks I'll take a leave this morning saying, 'let's not forget to pray when we start each day,' amen.
Let us pray
Lord we ask for your help, let us remember to “Stop & Pray" in the beginning of our days knowing you'll help us make the devil "get to stepping." In your name Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
