WHY GOD ASKED HIS SON TO?

Sometime long-ago God sent His Son who came down from Heaven, “I know we’ve all heard the story right?' Jesus came down to earth for one main reason. He loved all of us and the Holy Spirit and Father God even more. His Father asked Him to go to earth and teach us about His Kingdom called Heaven. So, Jesus came down to earth, God in the form of human flesh and picked twelve men. Jesus became their Lord, He taught them how to become disciples of God. His disciples then went out into the world with the knowledge and the power of the Holy Spirit and began to teach the others who followed and loved the Lord, Jesus Christ the Son of God.

These Disciples of God were able to accomplish their mission because they trusted in faith that God would keep the promises His Son had given them, if they went out into the world and taught God's word knowing God would protect them, and the Holy Spirit would destroy their enemies. They walked the earth using what they learned through Jesus Christ. God did this so that over two thousand years later, here in our present time, His disciples who are God’s Children can learn how to live their lives like Jesus Christ. They will be called Christians for they strive hard every day to carry the cross, just as their Lord and Savior did. God did this so we’ll know and learn how to honor His will for us, which is to love and serve Him on earth and then come to live with Him in Heaven. See> (2 Peter 3:9) 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God tells us if we honor His will we will be blessed and protected by His Holy Spirit and God’s power, and we will not fear our enemies when we go throughout the world teaching folks how to live righteously, like The One who came down to earth to teach us. See> (2 Timothy 1:7) 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Wow, that shouldn’t be a hard thing to accomplish right folks. I mean what more could a human heart want to accomplish more than to serve, honor and obey their creator anyway? Jesus gives us several examples of how life could interfere with God’s plan for us. Let’s start with the time a man told Jesus He’d follow Him wheresoever He went. And Jesus told him he needs to stay focused on serving God, if they want to be worthy of God’s Kingdom. See> (Luke 9:62) 62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

My final thoughts
God knew Satan would constantly try distracting us from our service to Him by using one of his favorite weapons, using simple everyday things we go through in our lives’ such as, let’s say we’re at work and our hearts determined to please our boss. That isn’t a bad thing, but if we allow it to distract us from our Christian lifestyle and serving God, it becomes a bad thing. Don't allow Satan to put thoughts that will distract us in any way, shape or form from living righteous lifestyles, and honoring our commitment to obey God’s will for us to love and serve Him. Distractions have always been one of Satan’s best weapons. Satan loves to put into our head how it’s important what others feel or think about us. See> (1 Corinthians 10:22-23) 22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he. 23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Let us pray together
Lord, we come to you this morning knowing we can trust you to help us to remain focused on righteous things as Satan continues with his attempts to distract us. With the power of our faith we know you’ll always have our backs when Satan attacks us. And we thank you for your comfort and the peace of mind you give us in our times of need. In your name Jesus Christ we all do pray, amen.
