SONIA'S BEST DECISION

Sonia was no different than most of us were at one time. Over most of her young adult life she’d been making wrong decisions, especially when making a decision which involved important directions to living a good life and keeping commitments. She also had this same, when it came down to her decision on religion. You see folks, at an early age Sonia did not know very much about God or who He was. And she didn't understand how Jesus could be Himself as well as God. All she knew was God’s word kept saying that there is only one God. Yet it also told her that God, His Son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit are all God.

Sonia asked her father who wasn't a religious man, but he knew enough to tell his daughter there was only one God. Why does He keep saying that there is only one God – when both Himself, His Son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit are all God and Lord Themselves?

Now a middle-aged woman, Sonia heard a street preacher at the flea market explaining how The Holy Spirit, God, and Jesus Christ were all one in each other. Sonia talked with the preacher after his sermon trying to understand how three beings are one God. The preacher told her God’s word clearly states that the God, the Father of creation, His Son Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit are one. See> (1 John 5:7) 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

After their discussion Sonia realized she'd made a bad decision about God and His Son Jesus based purely on her confusion. But she knew she only had herself to blame. But now with a clearer understanding about The Holy Trinity, Sonia visited the first church she came across seeking council with their pastor.

During council Sonia finally made the best decision she’d ever made in her life, when she prayed to Jesus and confessed she was a sinner. Now that she understood she believed Jesus is the Son of God, and asked Jesus to save her, because she now believed that Jesus could forgive her sin because He died in her place. She believed Jesus was buried and rose on the third day, to save her from the penalty of all her sins. See> (Hebrews 9:26-28) 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

My final thoughts
Once Sonia became God’s child, she began making better decisions because she understood how important it was to pray with her three new friends residing in her heart when she’s making decisions. As a result, God has blessed her with the responsibility of managing the homeless ministry at the church she’d accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Sonia continued making the right decisions under her Lord's direction. And the homeless ministry outreach thrived, branching off to other local churches. Currently the homeless ministry is reaching out to their neighboring cities, because there are no more homeless folks in their city. So folks, one might think that’s why God’s word instructs His children. See> (Psalm 32:8) 8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Let’s take a moment together in prayer.
Lord we thank you for guiding those who seek your wisdom when making decisions. We ask for your help in bringing awareness of how important your guidance is to those who currently are not seeking your influence. In Jesus Name we all do pray, amen.
