BUMPS IN THE ROAD

Vicky Deane found herself crying her eyes out. All her life she was never in need and always gave to others. Her Father God provided all her needs, she never worried about anything because God was real in her life. Vicky was able to enjoy and count on her Father God’s blessings because she loved and served her Father God. See (Psalm 34:8) 8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Vicky knew everything that is good comes from God's blessings, so she shared those blessings with everyone as fast as she received them, knowing this would honor and please her Father God.

One night while Vicky was at work her home was destroyed in a fire. When she saw there was nothing left that wasn't burned, she wondered why? Why would her Father God take anything from me? Why had she become homeless with no clothes or food? Vicky sat on a pile of burnt ashes where her home once stood. Her hearts heavily torn with confusion as she cries out to her Father God, “Oh God, where are you? Lord, I thought you'd left me, why did you allow these misfortunes to happen to me? But you’re my Savior, my Lord, my protector and my provider. That’s why I thought you'd left me because everything I needed has been taken, all of it, destroyed in that fire. And Lord, I don't feel you Lord. Yet I know your here in my heart. Oh, oh you ‘Lord, you are here, you never did leave me. Lord I know you are with me so why do I suffer now?" “Father God, you know me, I've known you my entire life.” Suddenly Vicky knew her answer, she realized what had happened. She knew her Father God had tested her faith and she knew how to fix things. It was always the same, she’d been fixing up things her whole life. She opened her bible knowing God's knowledge would undoubtedly restore her faith. Yes, she thought, Her Fathers words, His thoughts, His guidance and knowledge had never failed her. Those things always made whatever was wrong right, and whenever she was weak, her Father's word made her stronger. Vicky almost felt silly for allowing doubt to take over her faith.

God had tested Vickie’s faith, His own daughter who has dedicated her life to serving and obeying His will. She'd always feed the hungry and help the homeless. She’d always kept in contact with God through prayer and her thoughts. And she always strove hard to live as righteously as possible, always putting God first in her life and trusting in His direction. So, why would Her Father God want to test His daughter’s faith? God's word tells us he tests us to help develop and grow our patience and faith, therefore enabling us to walk even stronger in the Lord. See (James 1:3-4) 3 knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

My Final thoughts
Folk's, we all go through times when all that's left to do is read God's words of wisdom. That's why He wrote them. We know once we open His word, He'll teach us and strengthen us in the areas we need to be. We know what to do, just like Vicky figured it out. So, what we need to do as God's children is always be ready to help someone through God’s knowledge. After all, isn’t that what our Lord Jesus Christ would do? Amen.

Let us pray
Dear Lord, let us grow strong and wiser when our Father God tests us. Let His will for us be active in our daily lives, as we like Vicky strive hard daily trying to live as righteously as we humanly can, so that the world will see that we are God’s children. In your name Jesus Christ we all do pray, amen.
