President Donald Trump will meet with Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida today. Though early predictions were grave regarding the impact of the pandemic on the state of Florida, the outbreak has been successfully brought under control. The governor has been laying plans to reopen the state.

As states evaluate the cases and ramp up testing to determine the health and readiness of their citizens, they are to measure against the criteria put forth by the Task Force for phased reopening. There has been uncertainty as to the safety and health implications of some states beginning to ease restrictions and allow business to resume.
