President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are staying in residence at the White House in Washington, D.C., today. They have no public events on their schedule at this time and are expected to spend time together as a family resting and preparing for the week ahead.
On Monday, in lieu of traveling and taking part in campaign events on the road, the president will kick off the week by speaking to Texas voters during a telemeeting. In an effort to better limit the spread of COVID-19, the president, White House officials, and organizers set up a virtual town hall instead of the normal gathering for such events. The president is expected to discuss issues specific to the state of Texas, including immigration, healthcare, oil and gas production, farming and ranching, and ways to better improve the lives of state residents.
