Ethan Hunt has been protecting the country for more than 20 years now in the Mission: Impossible film franchise. The series of spy films are based on the television series of the same name created by Bruce Geller. Ethan Hunt is the protagonist of the film series, and is portrayed by Tom Cruise. In the films, Cruise’s character is the top agent of the IMF, a secretive government agency. Cruise’s Ethan Hunt has been embarking on high-risk missions across six movies now, and is far from being done. The seventh and upcoming film in the series is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2021.
