Late last night I was watching this woman dumpster dive in the freezing cold, snow falling, for food and other supplies to donate to food pantries. Truly an Angel indeed. She would fill her car, go donate, go back fill it again, on and on all night long, every night. I think the date was March 4th 2021. On the screen it would say what dumpster. CVS, Walgreens, Grocery, etc. Then she came across one dumpster (local grocery). When she opened the side to look in, it was filled with CASES of Meat. All frozen unopened cases. 2 doz. Turkeys, Cases of whole chickens, cut up chicken, hams, tenderloins, 5 and 10 lb. tubes of ground beef. Beef roasts! And then there was cases of lunch meat, hot dogs, polish kielbasa, smoked sausage. It was endless. And then there was cases of seafood, shrimp, scallops, mussels, LOBSTER. And there was probably 4 cases showing of (48) ct. dozen eggs, cases of cheese, milk, biscuits, and pastries. Cases of Family sized lasagna diners. Just Endless!!!
She was crying, saying how evil the store was to not donate these items. I shed a tear seeing those case of Hillshire Farms Polish Kielbasa being tossed, (one of my favorites). Damn, there was enough food in that dumpster to feed 1,000 people for a month. Just sickening. She was in shock I think. Didn't take anything, crying, she got in her car and ended the video.
I know someone here will say, YUP, a power outage, they had to through it out. Or it was out of date. I say, no mater what excuse, I doesn't justify what they did. All they would have had to do was get on the phone and call churches, food banks, friends to distribute all that food.
What needs doing, is for that store manager to be tarred and feathered and publicly humiliated in front of that whole town, and then made to serve the hungry of a year. But he'll just write it off, insurance company will pay for it, AND YOURS AND MINE, prices will go up.
