I’m Yours Valentine, Be Mine!

Some of you may not know that we lost our two beloved Dalmatians last year. Finnegan was almost 15 and old age caught up with him. Buttons, 9 yrs, succumbed to cancer. We were devastated and extremely depressed. The house was so quiet, and we were becoming depressed, bored, etc. Then a miracle happened. We were rescued by “Danny Boy”.

Danny is 2.5 years old and came to us through “Save a Spot Dalmatian” in Turlock, California. He had been severely abused and was very timid especially with people of the male gender. You could tell he had been hit or beaten because he would cower and lie down every time you tried to pet him. He was also crated for too many hours a day. When he entered our house he went to a corner and curled up as if he were in a crate. No more crates for Danny Boy. He sleeps with us.

At first, Danny wouldn’t eat or drink. Jean hand-fed him the first few days and they soon bonded. He follows her everywhere and is responding better each day. He loves the dog park and interacts well with the other dogs. He’s a great runner and loves to race with the other dogs. And he is housebroken.

Best wishes and Happy Valentine to all,

Bruce, Jean & Danny Boy
