SEE HOW THEY RUN

I cannot express just how proud that I am of the Ladies of the Memorial Associations, and especially the United Daughters of the Confederacy. I am not surprised that the scalawags who would allow this tainted story to leave their editorial room did not do a more extensive research of what is in this article.

I say, God bless the UDC for having the courage to recognize just how important that the Ku Klux Klan was to the survival of the Southern people (red, yellow, black , brown and white) during the ungodly period of so called reconstruction in the South. As so correctly reported and written about in the Honorable Mike Scruggs book, "The Un-Civil War: The Ku Klux Klan broke the back of Reconstruction."

And should these scalawags not know; there were black men who served in the Klan during this horrible time, but were told by the Southern white man just how dangerous for him to do so, because it would spell death for him if he was caught by the Yankees.

I read this article looking for mention of the Union, or Loyal League. They would make the Ku Klux Klan look like a picnic with the Pope, as they continued their rape, plunder, and murder for 12 years after the end of the war. Many a night somebody black would thank God for being saved by the Ku Klux Klan from the onslaught of the Union league.

I thank God now for being born during Jim Crow, and knowing full well that black folks didn't worry about passing by Confederate soldiers monuments on courthouse grounds because they were afraid they couldn't get a fair hearing, or trial in the courthouse; something that they are being told to say by the likes of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

As a matter of fact, they believe that because of the service of their ancestors, and the honor earned by their ancestors in the South; in lieu of all the things that Yankees did to use them against the Southern white man; that white Judge might just remember . Remember just like Mrs. Aston, a UDC member and prominent citizen of Asheville, North Carolina (my home town), who advocated to the Daughters to build the greatest monument to the African people for all the good they did for the South and its people during and after the war.

These scalawags of the fake news media have a long stretch if they think that Southern black people will stand against the Southern white woman. She has long proved her love for them; just ask the Southern white man. She fought a war of her own while the men were away, and standing with her to do so was the Southern African. And, if you think that the black ladies of the UDC will give up their memberships because of this biased and disgusting article meant to discredit their sisters; then they better find another world.

And, as we approach so called Black History Month, I would strongly encourage those blacks, and others who truly want to know about some real black history; visit a UDC Chapter. The ladies of the UDC in the State of Tennessee could open up a Black History University.

If the bigots of the Daily Beast want to find justice for the sons and daughters of former slaves; then head out to the Capitol mall, and tear down the monument of the nations greatest bigot; Abraham Lincoln, and since you are in the District; head over to the Treasury and ask them to take Grant off the nation's money. After all, it was he who said when asked in 1869 by the Yankee press; Mr. President, when are you going to free your slaves? ..." good help is hard to find" was his answer.
