In line at Walmart yesterday behind a school teacher and she is returning items sent in by parents from student supply list. Stating she has to many and needs the money on a gift card. The cashier face is priceless she must be a parent with the same thoughts I was having. Totally confused by how on the first day of school at 4:30pm you already know you have to many of items that are non-perishable so why not store them for later. Who’s to say that gift card is going to be used for the kids at a later date. Hoping my educator friends chime in and let me know if this is the norm.
