On this day in 2001 a marine commander on a ship off the coast of Australia told his crew" you fathers had their day of infamy Dec. 7 1941. today , 9 11 2001 is our day of infamy". These were sailors and marines that had never seen battle but manned the guns to defend the ship. While on shore they had seen the burning towers on tv and thought it was just a bad movie. The ship went straight to Pakistan and within 6 months the marine choppers were in battle in Afganistan. As tears still come to my eyes when I'm reminded of how we were attacked by the real enemy of all mankind.
