Get Your Communist Nikes

America has a love affair. An impassioned affinity for discounts, great deals, and value. Watching the big game on 60” was never so sweet as when it only cost $495, or those name brand sneakers are “reduced in price.”

The truthful facts are that the discounts obtained, the value received is paid for with human lives; Corporate profits dipped in the blood of those forced to create goods for Chinese nationalist and foreign companies paying little to no wages, no benefits, no bathroom or lunch breaks, while reaping billions in profits for execs and shareholders.

In exchange for a great deal, Americans, and others, have either been unaware or overlooked the atrocities contributing to their savings. It’s past time for consumers to wake up to the true “cost of goods” and look to America First as a source of shopping.

I’ve touched this hot iron of abuses before, and am doing so again in-depth, with the Prime Minister of East Turkistan, Salih Hudayar, whose people have been enslaved and mercilessly abused by the occupying Chinese overlords.

Helping to document the inhuman practices are the added thoughts of Mr. Gordon Chang, an expert on China’s culture and Communist government, and a foreign affairs journalist.

Also, Mr. Frederic Rocafort, a respected attorney and former U.S. diplomat with more than a decade of international legal experience, primarily in China, Vietnam, and Thailand. His wide range of experience also includes operating his own business in Asia, and as an in-house counsel for a Hong Kong-based multinational company.

America’s love affair with slave labor

Prime Minister of East Turkistan, Salih Hudayar

RB ~ Mr. Prime Minister, what is the current state of affairs in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region which inhabitants call East Turkistan?

PMSH ~ “Currently at least 3 million but more likely 5 million+ Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other Turkic peoples are locked up in concentration camps, prisons, and slave labor camps. Uyghur and other Turkic women are being sterilized, babies are being aborted even at 8-9 months. Over a half-million Uyghur and other Turkic children have been forcibly separated from their families and sent to state-run boarding schools and orphanages to indoctrinated as loyal Chinese communists. Despite more awareness in the international community, the Chinese government has not curtailed its brutal campaign of colonization, genocide, and occupation in East Turkistan.”

RB ~ What does China gain from these slave labor products? A profit source for the CCP, or control over the local populations?

PMSH ~ “China and its CCP are profiting from the slave labor of Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples, the use of Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples as slave labor is also a long-used method by China in order to control them. There are dozens if not hundreds of companies that are complicit in the slave labor of Uyghurs.”

Uyghurs slave labor ad

Ad appearing to provide Uyghur men and women for cheap labor working for nothing, confined in their spaces, working long hours, and overseen by Chinese CCP military forces.

RB ~
What companies are currently using slave labor for their products? (people need to know NOT to buy these products or support these companies)

PMSH ~ “Abusive groups including prominent companies like Amazon, Apple, Adidas, BMW, Dell, H&M, HP, HTC, Microsoft, Nike, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Skechers, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, Volkswagen, Zara and others. You can find a full list in the ASPI report titled: ‘Uyghurs For Sale.’”

RB ~ Fred, the Prime Minister has indicated that the plight of his people in camps includes the making of products for Amazon, Apple, Adidas, Nike, and others. It’s quite a list of int’l brands, is it more widespread than this?

FR ~ “According to the Australian Strategic Policy Institute’s (ASPI) landmark report on the issue, “under conditions that strongly suggest forced labor, Uyghurs are working in factories that are in the supply chains of at least 82 well-known global brands.”

That is a highly troubling figure but may only represent the tip of the iceberg. For obvious reasons, it is impossible to get a handle on the true scale of the problem. This is not something anyone wants to publicize, at least on the brand side. The reality is that any brand sourcing in China is at risk of benefitting from Uyghur forced labor, even if it does not set out to do so—and even if they take considerable measures to avoid it.”

RB ~ This may seem insensitive but, are corporate execs just so cold-hearted and profit-driven as to ignore such abuses for the sake of bottom line bonuses, or are many unaware of the practices and conditions?

FR ~ “I would like to imagine few company execs think the use of forced labor is acceptable as a cost-savings measure and, if faced with a credible allegation of forced labor, would immediately cut off that supplier. Unfortunately, however, few brands can deploy meaningful resources to supervise their supply chains for labor irregularities. This is true even of some well-known names, who behind the scenes run pretty lean operations, not to mention SMEs.

Even active monitoring of supply chains might not be enough. I recently spoke to a foreign businessperson who saw Uyghur workers at a supplier’s factory. He was confident these workers were there voluntarily, but the reality is he cannot be sure of that, even if he was able to strike up a conversation with them away from any prying ears. If they were in fact forced laborers, why would they trust someone who is buying the products they are making with their unfree hands?”
