I would take Ivermectin. Seems like one dose followed by another dose about four days later clears up COVID. I wonder why meds for parasites work so well on viruses? The “resolution” of the test kits can be “set” to read the smallest dead residual particles of China Virus or any similar virus as a “positive” test result.
Case declaration occurred, during the height of the shamdemic, after test results were combined with nebulous wide open criteria that were the same as any ailment ranging from: “I don;t feel so good, to sneezing due to too much dust or an allergy, to cold-flue symptoms or worse. At one one point any symptom = China Virus Symptom.
The CDC even went so far as to issue subjective “contact multipliers” in March 2020, which multiplied a declared case by 7-10x to simulate the number of people an “infected” person may have contacted.
The CDC even supported case declaration based on subjective criteria alone, with no tests.

If you have a CT scan of someone who admitted with breathing difficulty, and it illustrates the COVID “pattern”, you really don’t need to go backwards to a PCR or finger-stick test. You have enough for a diagnosis, and can move on to treat without further delay.
(Diagnoses are always subjective, BTW. Even a forensic pathologist’s findings are subjective. The CDC was supporting a licensed provider’s ability to make the most qualified subjective judgment in patient care situations.)
The answer is sometimes yes, sometimes no. Your question is too ambiguous, Kaco, because there are several kinds of tests and different things being measured. The nasal swab and the saliva tests are non-specific PCR samplers that will indicate the presence of any coronavirus.
But those tests existed before COVID was ever identified. They aren’t sufficient for a diagnosis, and doctors do not use them that way. A “positive” result indicates primarily the need to investigate further. PCR tests are used because they are cheap to manufacture and distribute, relatively easy to perform and less invasive than blood tests (no needles or sharps).
If a person has any kind of respiratory distress, their medical provider will order a chest x-ray. COVID patterns in lung tissue are quite identifiable. A Radiologist can also differentiate between that or pneumonia, bronchitis or other causes. Sometimes it will indicate the need for a tissue biopsy, CT scan and/or lung surgery. That’s another path of testing.
Patients with a positive PCR test may not experience symptoms. In cases like that the provider usually orders some sort of blood sample, either a finger-stick or (better) a test-tube serologic test. Unlike the PCR tests, the blood tests ARE specific to the COVID virus, and can even indicate the level of immune system response via antibodies. The newest tests can identify specific antibodies, and researchers know certain antibodies are better at killing each different strain of the pathogen. That’s where the future of plasma therapeutics is headed – specific antibodies being harvested and made into targeted meds for treatment.
Blood tests will also measure platelet counts, an indicator of possible clotting problems. Those indications require ultrasound and MRI to detail and document. Yet another path of testing.
An important thing to understand about tests, as opposed to the practice of diagnosis and treatment, is that they have to have context in order to be useful. Providers order them based on symptoms, or for a reason such as close contact with infected persons.

WE were in LOWES today here in CT. We were in the outside and garden area we didnt; have mask but everyone else did so one older lady came by with no mask on . I said it is nice to see your face she smiled and said she forgot her mask in the car then hubby and her talked about the mask wearing she was happy I think that someone else didn;t have one and that we were being nice and not yelling at her..we were the only ones in the garden center check out with out masks as well.
