It’s the height of hypocrisy! The Biden team, who have been relentlessly ridiculing former President Trump for utilizing donated funds to pay his escalating legal costs, are themselves guilty of the same.

Ironically enough, it has come to light that the DNC has been footing President Joe Biden’s legal bills during a special counsel investigation.
According to an Axios report, President Biden’s campaign donations from 2023 were utilized to cover his legal expenses during a special counsel’s probe into his handling of classified documents. This information is based on insider knowledge and an Axios review of campaign finance records.
The hypocrisy is glaring when you consider that the Biden campaign recently lambasted Donald Trump for doing the exact same thing—using campaign funds for legal fees. Yet, the Democratic National Committee, the major fundraising body for Biden’s re-election, has reportedly paid over $1.5 million to lawyers representing Biden during this probe, according to their financial filings.
Special counsel Robert Hur initiated an investigation in January 2023 after classified documents from Biden’s vice presidency were discovered at his residence and office. From July 2023 to February 2024, the DNC paid a staggering $1.05 million to Bob Bauer PLLC, Biden’s lead attorney’s firm. A significant portion of this payment was allocated towards managing the special counsel probe and hiring David Laufman, a prominent figure in legal circles associated with high-profile investigations.
Moreover, the DNC increased its monthly payments to Hemenway & Barnes law firm from $15,000 to $100,000 starting last July. Jennifer Miller, one of Biden’s attorneys who is mentioned by name in special counsel Hur’s final report works there.
The DNC attempts to differentiate itself from Trump by claiming that it doesn’t use grassroots donors’ money for legal bills. They argue that unlike them Trump has specifically sought contributions for his legal battles and has spent a larger chunk of his campaign money on legal issues.
It’s laughable! The Democrats have had the audacity to accuse Trump of something they’ve been doing themselves for over a year!
