HOW WELL DO WE KNOW GOD?

As a child most of us envied our parents, we wanted to be like them when we grew up. Likewise, the more time we spend with our Father God, weighs on how much we become like Him. The folks we hang-out with influence who we are and how we act as we live each day. If we hang-out with folks who do not know our God or care about their spiritual well-being, they will create negativity between us and our Father God. As Christians we need to have some "one on one time" with our Father God. This draws us closer to Him which greatly benefits our personal relationship with God, which is a vital and crucial key to our spiritual growth. God wants us to come to Him, He wants us to know who He is. See> (Revelation 22:17) 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

My final thoughts
Let’s wrap this up straight to the point. As Christians, if we do not commit to spending quality alone time with our Father God, abiding in Him, we will lose focus and become distracted away from God. We won’t hear his word and be unable to enjoy the fulfillment of His fruit. We will be unable to reach the full potential our Father God has planned for us. See> (John 15:5) 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing… With that said, knowing we need alone time with our Father daily is just that, “Knowing we need to.” Making the commitment is hard for many of God’s children. Let’s not allow this to happen to us, those who haven’t made that commitment, make that commitment to God here this morning. Find a special place where you can spend at least fifteen minutes each day, with your Father God who loves you and wants to spend time with you. He knows all about you, don’t you think you should know more about your Father God? I know I do.

Let us pray together.
Lord. This morning we ask you to help those of us who don’t spend enough or any time with God to start doing so today. Help our hearts grow closer to our Father God by making the time each day to talk and get to know our Father in Heaven. Help us become more like our Father God, in your name Lord we all pray, amen.
