DO YOU KNOW HIM?


Kristy Connors never paid attention at church services when she was young. She was always fascinated about trees. As she grew up her fascination turned into worshiping trees, as she proclaimed to others that trees were her god’s. Sadly, as Kristy's life began to fade, her lips were heard calling out for her gods to save her. When Kristy's life ended, she had never known who her Father God was. See> (Exodus 23:13) “Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips… Many years ago, Preacher Rick Morrison worked the streets teaching folks they were their own gods who controlled their soul’s destiny. Preacher Rick died not knowing his Father God of love and salvation. See> (Acts 4:12) And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” … Sarah Jones was blessed with a knockout body which she used to pay her way through life’s expenses. For Sarah sex was her God, for it provided all her needs in life. One day Sarah's sister passed away, at the wake she felt a love she'd never known, a presence she never felt. When she looked around in search of what had come over her, she noticed her sister’s family’s faces weren’t filled with grief or the sadness death brings. Sarah approached her sister’s husband pastor Bob asking him how could everyone be so happy over her sister’s death? It's true your sisters body died, pastor Bob answered, his face covered with peace, love and happiness. ‘Why are you so happy"? Sarah asked once more.



My Final thoughts
Pastor Bob told her their hearts were filled with love and joy because her sister died knowing who her Father God’s Son Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior was. See> (John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life… She chose to live her life as Jesus Christ lived His, caring for others, loving them enough to tell them about their Lord Jesus Christ, and through Him was the only way to go to Heaven. See> (John 14:6) 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me… ‘Sarah, your sister was a child of God who spent hours telling folks about the promises God made to those who would love and serve Him. The Holy Spirit lived in her heart, a decision we made together many years ago. Which assured us both that when we died, our spiritual beings, our souls had received our Father God’s gift of salvation which we received through His son Jesus Christ. Sarah, the very essence of who your sister is now lives in Heaven with her Father who was, who is and who will always be the God of all creation for all eternity. After the wake Sarah told Pastor Bob that she wanted to go to Heaven like her sister. Pastor Bob counseled her a few weeks then the day came that Sarah had come to know who her Father God was, and her Father called her His Child.


Let us pray
Dear Lord, if someone reads this devotional this morning who worships another god, but they are hungry like Sarah was, we pray they reach out to your awaiting arms. Send them our way Lord, for we are here to live our lives serving you as Sarah’s sister lived serving you. With you Lord, we know if their hearts truly want to know their Father God, we can lead them to Him. Lord if they can’t come to us, we pray you’ll lead them to another one of your children. This way Lord, they can help them, in your name Lord we all do pray, amen.
