I AM SURE I’M GOING TO HEAVEN

As Christians, we are bound to run across folks that believe that “OUR” souls are their responsibly. On one occasion I met a woman during a church singles meet and greet gathering at our pastor’s ranch. She was immediately concerned if I was a true Christian. I wasn’t very worried at the time because I thought she was a caring person with a good heart for our Father God. Over the next three weeks we’d gone on several little dates and attended two Church Services. On our fifth date she became a little more persistent on knowing if my soul “our spiritual being when we get to Heaven,” was going to make it to Heaven. So, I told her I’d repented to Jesus Christ, many years ago asking him to forgive my sins. See> (1 John 1:9) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness … Over the next two weeks she became disturbingly insistent on making sure that “MY Soul was saved, almost as if my soul was her concern. But more on the side of, it being her responsibility to make sure I was living a lifestyle that pleased our Father God. I decided to break all relations with the woman, but God wanted me to explain to her how I am sure I was going to Heaven. A few days later I met her for dinner. I’d already been praying to our Lord, because I knew that what my Father wanted would require the both of us, Jesus and I to work together once again. I was so excited to be working with Him again, my spirit was so high l became lost in it and fell asleep during my prayer. I woke up just in the nick of time to make our dinner day. On the way there I went over how I was going to explain to this woman why I was sure.

My final thoughts
We sat down and after I ordered coffee and dinner, I gave up on how I would explain my certainty. I told her I live a life for Christ which assures my souls going to be in Heaven. It is because I have chosen to give my life, to live as Christ lived. I told her since I no longer had my own life, I was able to commit to living and serving my Father God’s will, and for mankind to serve and follow Him, thus honoring our Father God. See> (John 12:26) 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. … I could tell she knew exactly what I was saying, but wanted me to tell her. So, I went on further to explain how I wouldn’t have been able to do this without my faith in my Father God, that Jesus Christ is His Son. See> (Hebrews 11:6) 6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Folks most of us reading this morning know Jesus died, He died so that every sinner on earth could seek His forgiveness for their sins. We understood we needed to confess our sins and ask Jesus into our lives with a sincere heart. And that we needed to seek Jesus' counsel in all things that matter, and not by ourselves. I myself, need to always try my very best to live a life I know would be pleasing to God and His Son Jesus Christ. See> (Colossians 3:23-24) 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

.
Let us pray together.
I pray for the blessing of our Father God to go out to all of you and your families. I ask for Jesus to help us to stay focused on living our lives the way He lived His. I pray that each of us will have the opportunity to help another brother or sister learn how to ensure their souls salvation, and that they will go to Heaven. Lord is this not our Father God’s will for us, His children to help folks understand God is real, Heavens real and the way to get there? It is in Jesus Name we pray, amen.
