GUIDE FOR LIFE
(Proverbs 3:5) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding


How many times have folks told you they couldn’t understand the Gospel of Christ because it was very confusing to them, or let’s blame the pastor for not explaining God’s word well enough? I honestly believe that those are two of the most famous and weakest excuses thought of by man to offer God during their judgment. Perhaps they believe God will alter His ways of Judgment on account of your claim to never hearing or knowing there was a God. Which I suppose would be possible if you lived on an undeveloped island or elsewhere without contact from the outside world, ‘EVER.’ A lot of folks don’t worry about understanding God’s ways because they live their lives going along with worldly lifestyles that don’t include God. Perhaps these folks believe that if they don’t understand God’s teachings, then God would understand and have mercy on them. Sorry folks, I'm here to inform everyone in the world of social networking who are reading this now. Those two outlandish excuses won’t fly with God. Let me tell you that our brilliant Father God made sure to instruct us that if anyone of us lacks wisdom, ‘understanding’ to pray asking their Father God for understanding of His word. See> (James 1:5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. … God's word tells us there are many people who choose not to listen to the preachers or read His word and not share His Good News about salvation. I don’t believe anyone can hear God’s word when they aren’t listening or reading His word. See> (Romans 10:14) 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?


My final thoughts
Far too often folks don’t understand God’s instructions on how to live Christian lifestyles, because they don't know God’s will, found in His word. Therefore, they aren't doing things in accordance to the instructions God wrote in His word. If a person does not understand what the preacher is teaching or what God’s word teaches them, they often do things the way they see other folks do them, because they seem to be doing the right thing. But far too often doing things that seem right to mankind only leads our soul’s closer to eternal death. See> (Proverbs 16:25) 25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Also see> (Proverbs 3:7) Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. … One might think this would be a good reason for our Father God to write His word. So, that anyone who reads and studies it will acknowledge Him and His Son Jesus Christ for who they truly are, thus allowing Jesus to help those who seek Him to live more righteously in favor of their Father God. See> (2 Timothy 3:16) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:


Let us pray together
Lord how blessed are those who seek your help in understanding the instructions God provides us in His word to live good Christian lifestyles. Please help us to depend on God’s knowledge rather than just go along with what others seem to believe is right. We trust you Lord, to handle any situation we bring to you. For we understand that you’ll always lead us down the path of righteousness. In your name Jesus Christ, we pray and thank you, amen.
