THEY ONLY FOOL THEMSELVES

What it all comes down to is, God does not have a different set of rules for us individually. Nor does God's will for us differ from each other. God does not care who we are or where we are from. He expects us ‘His children', to love and serve Him wholeheartedly as we strive hard at doing our best to follow our Lord's lead, thus allowing Him to guide us.” See> (1 John 2:6) 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. … To live in obedience to our Father God’s will is the way God wants all His people to live. For us to live any other way and still call ourselves Christians would be morally wrong. One should never take the name of 'Christian' if they are not rightfully living for our Father God, but would rather live for themselves. God considers those who claim to know Him but do not live in His righteousness to be impure, even though they claim to know Him. See> (Titus 1:15-16) 15 the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. … They fool only themselves for God knows their hearts. See> (Luke 16:15) 15 And he said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

My final thoughts
Do not get me wrong. God wants us to live good lives, raise our families and prosper in all good things. He just wants us to do it with Him because He loves all His people, and wants their souls to live with Him for all of eternity. Here is a sure way for all of God’s children to achieve living such a lifestyle. We need to put our God above all things and above ourselves. We need to love our Father in Heaven wholeheartedly, with all our soul, our minds, and our strength which we will receive from Him. See> (Mark 12:30) 30 with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. … When we acknowledge our Father God in everything we do, we cannot help but glorify Him, and He will direct our path. See> (Proverbs 3:6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Let us pray together
Dear Father God, you know us better than we know ourselves. You know our weaknesses you know our faults, so this morning we ask you to help us live up to your expectations. For if you help us, then together with our Lord we know we can live lifestyles that will bring glory to your name. And we know you will help us live a good life on earth as you want all your children to live. In your Son's name we all do pray amen.

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's guidance. Rev James Erick
