VENGEANCE

It’s hard for us not to seek revenge against someone who has done us wrong, especially if we or a loved one has been hurt or worse. Please allow me to be honest with you. I’m a man who never allowed anyone to take me for anything. And if someone hurt me or a loved one it was my responsibility. But when I became my new self in Christ, it was very hard for me not to seek revenge against those who came against me in any situation. So, one can imagine how difficult it was for me to step aside and let it ride, until my Lord be the avenger as God’s word instructs us to. See> (Romans 12:19)19 beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. …

My Final thoughts
Still today for many of us I’m sure it’s a constant battle to obey our Lord Jesus Christ’s command to “love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. See> (Matthew 5:44) 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; … When we do, we come to learn there is no one better than our Lord to be the avenger. Our Father God understands adjusting to the change of letting our Lord seek our Justice is not something that happens overnight. He knows we will, but with our Lord’s help. Believe it or not folks it is possible. So, don’t be an avenger, but rather be the Christian God expects us to be and let our Lord seek to punish those who we feel deserve it.

Let us all pray together ...
Dear Lord, we all fall short when it comes to letting you be the avenger to those who have come against us or loved ones. So, we ask you today to help us STOP, say a prayer, and give the situation to you Lord. Thus, allowing you to seek our vengeance for us, in your name Jesus Christ, we all do pray amen.

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's guidance. Rev James Erick
