SALVATION! WHAT IS IT?

When God created mankind in His image, He gave them a soul, an inner spiritual being that will never die. God did this so His creation, His people, could live and be with Him for all of time, so long as they loved Him and lived in obedience of His laws and will for them. But most of His people did not follow God’s plan for them, but rather disobeyed God, and must have no longer loved Him, or cared to obey their creator God’s will. Most became wicked in their ways, their hearts desired to live in sin. When God’s people do bad things, it makes Him sad. For His will for their soul is to enter His kingdom of Heaven which has been prevented by their sin. Yet God loves His people so much, He made a way for their spiritual beings to seek forgiveness of their disobedience and sin, through His Son Jesus Christ. And that is where Salvation comes into play. See> (Romans 5:8:9) 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. … God sent His Son down to earth to become His people’s Savior of their lost souls. While on earth Jesus taught God’s people what they needed to know about their Father God and His will for them, so that they could be with Him forevermore. Then Jesus had to die in our place, for we are incapable of paying our sin debt to God. So, for God’s people to acquire their salvation, He made it possible through His Son Jesus Christ once Jesus fulfilled these following steps. Step one, Jesus had to teach God’s people. See> (1 Corinthians 15: 1) 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand: … Step two. Once Jesus accomplished this any one of God’s people knew how to become saved, all they need to do is remember what their Lord taught them. See> (1 Corinthians 15:2) 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. … Step three Jesus showed God’s people the salvation that He himself achieved after He died and then rose again on the third day. See> (1 Corinthians 15:3) 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

My final thoughts

We know we can be saved from the wrath of God’s judgment of sin. Refer to (Romans 5:9) We know our sin has separated us from God, and the consequence of sin is death. We know this is all possible once we accept and believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of our souls. See> (Acts 16:30-31) 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. … You may also refer to (1 Thessalonians 4:14) 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. … So, there you have it folks, our basic definition of salvation and instructions on how to receive this special gift from our Father God in accordance to His word. What we do with this wonderful good news from God is totally up to each one of us. I guess it depends on how bad we want our spiritual beings to live in Heaven as our Father God has always desired us to. Amen.

Let us all pray together

Dear Father God in Heaven. How grateful we are that your love for us is so great. You provided us a way for our eternal souls to be with you forevermore. We pray here this morning for all your lost people on earth whose hearts seek after the way you have provided your gift of salvation to every man, woman, and child. And we pray that if there is anyone who has viewed this inspirational message, that needs help in finding their way to you, that they reach out to one of us, or another brother or sister in Christ to help them. In the name of your Son Jesus Christ we all do pray amen.

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's guidance. Rev James Erick
