**THE CALL FOR JESUS**

Royt was seven years young when his father Roy decided to take him and his nine-year young brother Troy on their first overnight camping trip. After they set up camp, dad wanted to take a short nap and then go fishing. Royt was excited and anxious, not wanting to take a nap. He was hungry and wanted to go fishing. Finally, his father got him to agree that fishing could wait until they rested. Troy and Royt settled in their own little pop up tents. Troy fell fast asleep but Royt still wanted to go fishing, so he could not sleep. He got it in his head that dad would not mind if he caught some fish and had them ready to cook when dad woke up. Royt got his fishing pole along with his little tackle box and went down to the river which was close to the camp. The river was running rough, so he walked upriver about half a mile. Then he saw a baby doe giving him the idea to catch it, so dad could cook it for dinner instead of fish. He laid his pole and tackle box down but when he looked up, he saw the doe dodging into the bushes and trees. Without thought he ran after it not knowing a little man his size could never catch a baby doe. He came across a cave, thinking the doe ran inside so he went in after it. The cave had many tunnels and in no time, Royt was lost in darkness and scared. Roy woke up after a short two-hour nap and found Royt’s tents empty, thinking he may be in his brother's tent he peeped inside. Troy was just waking up when he heard his father ask him, "do you know where little man is?" Troy said no, then they both looked around the camp, Roy noticed Royt's fishing pole, giving him the hint as to where his son might be. After a few hours of searching it was nearing dark. "Oh God! Roy cried out in prayer, please help me find my boy.” He gathered a few things along with a flashlight and was headed out to look for his son. He told Troy to wait at camp and to call his cellphone if Royt came back to camp. Troy told his father that he could count on him. Then Roy headed out to continue his search. Meanwhile, Royt was scared and alone crying for his daddy, when he remembered something his teacher taught him at Sunday bible school. They could ask Jesus anything and He will hear them. See> (1 John 5:14) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: Royt began to pray asking Jesus to help him find his father, because he was scared, hungry and cold. A few minutes later he heard someone's voice saying. “Follow me boy, I'll lead you to your father". Royt looked up towards the voice he heard, and saw a man wearing a long robe that appeared to be glowing, shedding light into the darkness of the tunnel. Royt followed the glowing man as they zigzagged through the tunnels, and within two minutes they were out into the woods. While they were walking, Royt asked the man who He was and how He found him? “I am who you sought to help you son; I came because you prayed for my help. My name is Jesus Christ, I am God's Son, but one day you will call me your Lord.” Just then Royt could hear his father calling for him. All excited he ran towards his father's voice, then stopped to turn around and thank his Jesus, but Jesus had vanished.

My final thoughts
Here I am daddy he yelled. Roy heard his son's little voice and thanked Jesus for keeping his boy safe. He then hugged his son and asked where he had gone off to? Royt told him how he got lost in the tunnels and that he prayed for Jesus to help him, and Jesus came down from heaven wearing a glowing robe that gave us light so we could find our way out of the cave. When they got to camp, Roy told his son not to run off alone ever again. Royt looked at his father and told him he would not but not to worry, because Jesus was just a call away. See> (Matthew 7:7)7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: … Wow folks, what a good ending to the story. How many of you think the story would have ended sadly if Royt and his father did not know God? Maybe it would not, after all God loves everyone. It is a good feeling to know that Jesus is always ready to hear our calls, and He will for the rest of our lives.

Let us pray together
Lord, from our whole heart we are thankful for the confidence we have in you. To know that wherever we are or whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, all we need to do is call out to you. Knowing in faith you will come to us. In your names Jesus Christ, we thank you. Amen`

May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's Guidance
