Today, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will join the queen, other world leaders from each country that fought alongside the U.S. and the UK, and over 300 armed forces veterans to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The event will be held in the southern English city of Portsmouth.
Following this, the president will travel to Shannon, Ireland, where he will meet with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar. This will be his first visit to Ireland since taking office.
The president and first lady will spend the evening in Ireland before preparing to travel to France on Thursday.
