DOES GOD CALL ON EVERYONE?

(2 Timothy 1:8-9) 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

So many folks believe God will only call on folks
who are biblically intelligent, or a person who possess a certain quality? Which brings me to this morning’s topic.

God’s been calling upon folks since the beginning, folks from all walks of life and having them use their gifts He’s provided them to serve Him. Some of these folks may be smarter than others. They each have their unique gifts they'll be able to use whether they are smart or not so smart, weak. strong or brave or cowardly. God will call upon those He knows He can count on.

God has a calling for all of us, but it’s up to us whether we ignore Him or listen and obey Him. “On a personal note,” I'd like to mention how bored I would be everyday if I didn't listen and act on God’s calling. And I’m not even

close to being as biblically smart as some folks. Yet once I decided to make a personal commitment to honor and serve my father God, He decided He’d use the one thing He knew I was good at doing which is writing stories, poems and just about anything I set my mind on writing. Only these days I have been writing whatsoever God inspires me even without having great biblical knowledge of God’s word. I am a reverend, a Christian who struggles everyday just as others do.

Did you know our Father God uses weak things to conquer over mighty things? See> (1 Corinthians 1:26-27) 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

My final thoughts
Whether it's a few moments, hours, days, months or years. As Christians we must always be ready when God calls. We know God’s always answering our calls and we rightfully expect Him to answer them? In this havoc world we live in today we know God's a very busy God. God is counting on to be alert and willing to do whatever He calls us to do. It’s not always going to be easy for us to be ready, so we need to constantly learn the knowledge our Father God provided us with His word. God stays with us daily and gives us His peace, His wisdom along with our daily needs. It’s good to know our Father God will provide His strength, wisdom, support anytime we need His help.

For no other reason than those our Father God is entitled to call upon us at any moment, any hour, any month or year. So, when God does make that call I strongly believe it would be best that we’re able to answer our Father's call, after all doesn’t He answer ours? amen

Let us pray
Lord we pray that we are ready to answer our Fathers call at a moment's notice. We ask for your help in understanding God’s words as we study them, so we’ll always be ready to answer our father God’s call, in your name Jesus Christ we pray amen.
