Crime is under reported by local and national media and more effort is place on hiding defensive gun use from the public. The fact is, that there are many crimes that have been prevented by a citizens with a firearm and in a large percentage of these not a shot was fired. To speak of this and elucidate the facts of defensive gun use is almost taboo.
