The UN Security Council PASSED a resolution calling for a ceasefire in #Gaza earlier today.
Fourteen of the council members voted for the resolution, with the United States abstaining, allowing the resolution to pass by not using its veto. 
The #UN announced the resolution, stating on X, “In favor: 14 Against: 0 Abstention: 1 The UN Security Council has adopted a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the immediate, unconditional release of all hostages.”
