CLYDE BAKER WAS THE MAN

Clyde Baker is the man of God in a small town. He had life going on and with God's favor Clyde made sure the hungry were fed, and he built homes for the homeless and families who lived in poverty and provided all they needed. Yes Mr. Clyde Baker was a richly blessed man who believed in God, giving God credit for all his successes. Clyde became a big and all-powerful man in his county until one day the devil whispered in his ear. ‘Your success comes from believing in yourself.’ Your God is not real, I am real. I am here, all your successes come from you and you alone. You can do anything you set your mind to. Clyde began to listen to the devil; he began to trust and believe in himself and he no longer believed God was the reason for his success and accomplishments. Clyde stopped feeding the hungry telling them to believe in themselves, because only they can make a better life for themselves. He no longer builds homes for the homeless and only allowed those he housed to stay that could afford rent and their own expenses. Clyde Baker eventually lost everything he ever owned, and you can find him living in government housing. Why? Why would a man who believed in God’s truths and His righteousness listen to the devil? Why the sudden change to trust and believe in himself rather than his Father God, whom he’d trusted his whole life? God clearly tells us good things come to those who love Him. See> (Romans 8:28) 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. …

My Final Thoughts
Clyde Knew all he had to do was rebuke the devil and send him away and submit himself back to his Father God. He just chooses not to do so. See” (James 4:7) 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. … Today years later Mr. Clyde Baker is a lonely man who lives in poverty. Why? Because he couldn’t love, trust or believe in his Father God enough to stay in submission to Him. Folks if we are to remain strong Christians, we must never allow the devil close enough to us to whisper anything that can alter or persuade us into trusting ourselves, rather than trusting in our Father God. Remember if you’re a true Christian you are totally submitted to God, (submitted, means to arrange oneself under the command of our Father God’s will, rather than to live under our own human capabilities.) So, when the devil comes too close, all you need to do is resist him and he must flee from you. Therefore, if we are not totally submitted to obeying our Father God, then eventually we will suffer the consequences. And there’s no doubt in my mind we will become lost, trapped inside our own selves. God’s word tells us to keep God’s commandments. See> (John 14:15) 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. … . When we disobey God, there are usually consequences. So, remember our Father God gave us rules to protect us, but leaves us the decision to obey them or not.

Let us pray together
Lord, we ask you to help us remain in total submission to our Father God, for we understand we must be totally submitted to God to resist the devil's temptations. We understand if we choose to be disobedient to God’s rules, we won’t be able to resist the devil. But if we obey God’s laws then our Father God gives us the power to resist the devil and make him leave. In your name Jesus Christ we all do pray, amen.
