UNHEARD PRAYERS

Some time ago after Sunday service a woman named Patty came up to me telling me she'd been praying for a miracle to heal her body. Patty wanted to conceive a child but due to a childhood accident, she was unable to conceive. Then she asked me why God hasn't answered her prayers? I didn't know Patty very well nor did anyone else at church. All we knew was she came to church at least twice a month and always sat in the back to be unnoticed. I've had members of the congratulation tell me they've smelled alcohol on her from time to time. But welcomed her anyways if she wasn’t a problem to others because God’s house welcomes anyone who desires to learn about God and all His wonders.

But that day I didn't smell alcohol on Patty's breath, and she was terribly depressed over God not answering her prayers. Apparently, Patty had been praying over her problem for quite some time and her husband wants to have a family. She told me she felt like God was not hearing her prayers?" I love Him and I know Jesus Christ is His Son so why don't He answer me?

I knew the answer, but it would involve asking her a personal question and those who know me know I've always preached God's words straight up so the point of what God's teaching us is very clear and there's no doubt about God's instructions-on how or what His Children must do.
So, I just came straight with Patty asking her if she'd ever been saved. "Yes, she said,” God loves me and so does His Son. I told her God loves everyone, but I'm asking you if you've ever repented to Jesus asking Jesus Christ to forgive your Sins, and then accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

She told me she'd never got around to that and asked me what difference does it make anyways? I explained to her that since she had never sought Jesus's forgiveness, even though God loves her God considered her a sinner. I told Patty God word tells us He won't hear a sinner’s prayers. See> (John 9
