LIVING LIFE IN ROUTE TO HEAVEN
We all know we're going to die because every creature God gave life to was born to die and their life is permanently over. But what if I told you we have an alternative to facing a permanent death, would you believe me? When God made mankind, He gave us a soul, See> (Genesis 2:7) 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Along with our soul God gave us a free will to make the right or wrong choices. See> (Joshua 24:15) 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
If we make the right choices and strive to live our lives in God’s favor and follow His plan for us to live a righteous lifestyle that’s pleasing to God, He’ll take our souls up to Heaven and we'll live for all eternity, rather than face death forever.
God knew It would be impossible for mankind to live righteous lifestyles. So, to please Him, we would have this wonderful life ever after. Therefore, God being the perfect Spiritual being He is, made sure every human being had a way to get to Heaven. How? God sent His Son Jesus Christ down to earth, not only to sacrifice Himself to ensure God’s plan for us to get to Heaven. God had many other reasons for sending His Son down to earth, here’s one of them. He knew that without Him our human sinful nature would prevent our permanent trip to Heaven. But with His Son we would make the trip because with Him, man has access to the throne of God.
Another reason God sent His Son Jesus down to us was so He would teach his disciples how to live righteously. How? By following Christ’s example on living righteous lifestyles. So, if we choose to follow Christ's ways, He will guide us as we strive towards living our life in righteously therefore pleasing God, thus ensuring us our permanent trip to Heaven.
So are you interested? If you are, here are the steps all of us need to take to make the trip to Heaven.
1 You must believe 100% that Jesus is the Son of God, I mean truly believe without any doubt in your heart, mind and soul that Jesus is The Son of God, or you 'will' without a doubt spend eternity in hell. See> (Acts 16:30-31)30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
2 We need to confess our sins; Jesus is faithfully cleansing us from sin from the inside. He is making us clean from unrighteousness. See> (1 John 1:9) 9 I2f we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
3 You must declare Jesus as your Lord and savior without a doubt in your mind, heart and your soul. Verse (Romans 10:9)9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
4 Now go ahead and pray this prayer. But don’t pray if your heart and mind are not sincerely committed to becoming a Child of God and live this life as Christ has shown us to live. Remember you can do this; your souls everlasting life depends on it. All you need is faith in that with Jesus, you can conquer the devil because with Jesus all things are possible.
The prayer for salvation.
Lord Jesus, I’ve kept you out of my life and have sinned for many years. I know I cannot save my soul alone so I’m asking for your help. By faith I believe you are the Son of God and sacrificed your life on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. By faith I now confess my sins and I gratefully receive your Father's gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you to be my Lord and Savior, my guidance counselor, and hopefully we’ll become close friends. I love you Lord and I thank you for coming to earth to teach mankind how to live our lives as you lived yours. In your names Jesus Christ I pray, amen.
My final thought.
It is extremely important for folks to know God never told us it would be easy to live righteously, glorifying Him. God knows we’ll always be sinners and we’ll come short of His glory. See> (Romans 3:23) 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
This is a good reason to pray daily asking Jesus to forgive our sins thus ensuring our life ever after in Heaven.
Let’s pray
Lord we thank you for coming down to earth to save our souls and ask for your guidance as we grow and learn to live as you lived. In your name we pray, amen.
